Brand voice
Brand voice tells the AI how to write for your brand, controlling tone, perspective, vocabulary, and even generated image style, so AI-written content sounds like you.
Brand voice fine-tunes how AI writes when generating course content, so it matches your brand's tone, personality, and vocabulary. You set it once in the Brand kit, and it shapes AI-generated content across your workspace.

Set up your brand voice
- Select Brand kit from the left-hand navigation.
- Click Brand voice (the last item in the Brand kit menu).
- Adjust the settings (below).
- Click Save changes to apply them across your workspace. To start over, click Restore defaults.
What you can control
Tone and personality
- Primary voice: describe your brand in a sentence or two, for example "Clear, supportive, and practical, like a great teacher who respects your time."
- Default language: the default language AI uses when generating content for your courses.
- Brand voice traits: sliders between opposing values, Friendly/Professional, Casual/Formal, Conversational/Authoritative, Playful/Serious, and Creative/Straightforward. Leave a slider at Neutral to have the AI ignore that trait.
- Writing perspective: first person ("we"), second person ("you"), or third person ("the team").
Writing style
- Sentence length: from short and punchy to detailed, to set the pacing.
Vocabulary
- Preferred terminology: words to favour, such as learner, module, training.
- Terms to avoid: words or names you never want used.
Examples
- Sounds like us: paste two or three paragraphs of your best content so the AI learns your rhythm and word choice.
Generated images
- Image style: Photo, Cinematic, Drawing, Vector, or Painting.
- Imagery to avoid: exclude things like text in images, children, or weapons, or add your own exclusions.
Applying brand voice when generating
Once your brand voice is configured, you choose whether to apply it each time you create new content. When generating a course or screen with AI, you can toggle brand voice on so the output follows your saved tone, perspective, vocabulary, and image style, or leave it off for that piece of content. This means your saved settings are always available, but you stay in control of where they apply.
Frequently asked questions
Where does brand voice apply?
Across your workspace. Once saved, it shapes the content AI generates for your courses, and you can choose whether to apply it each time you generate.
Do I have to set every option?
No. Adjust what matters to you and leave the rest. Sliders left at Neutral are ignored, so you can be as light or detailed as you like.
Can I reset my brand voice?
Yes. Select Restore defaults to return to the original settings.
