Yes. Add a Video screen and paste your YouTube link into the video URL field. Coassemble pulls the video in and plays it inline for your learners.

If the video you want is on YouTube, you can drop it straight into a course using the Video screen. There's no need to download and re-upload anything, the YouTube link is all you need and the video plays inline within the course.

Add a YouTube video

1. On YouTube, open the video you want and copy its URL from the address bar or the Share button.
2. In Coassemble, open your course and click Add screen, then choose Video. This adds a screen with a placeholder video.
3. Click Replace video at the top of the screen.
4. In the pop-up, paste your YouTube link into the URL field. Coassemble pulls the video in, ready for your learners.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need anything other than the link?

No. The standard YouTube URL is all you need, Coassemble loads the video from it.

Where does the video play?

Inline, within the course screen, so learners watch it without leaving the course or opening a new tab.

Can I add a custom thumbnail to a linked YouTube video?

No. Custom thumbnails are only available for videos uploaded to Coassemble, not for linked videos.
